Case Study : Kristin Hanson Catering

Problem:

As a way to improve communication with potential clients about catering services provided by Kristin Hanson, a website was going to be the most accessible medium. Initially eightbysix and Kristin Hanson worked together to put up a promotional site that visually attracted her target demographic. It was flash driven, and contained many little attractive animations for navigation and interactivity. In addition to the website project we also built her visual identity that included a new logo, brand look and feel, business cards and brochure. With a consistent look and feel, Kristin Hanson was able to present her business with confidence and gained reasurrance from her clientele when they told her that "they chose to contact her because of her professional presentation."

In 2009, Kristin's business grew and so did her capabilities. This called for a renewed look at the services that we would highlight and build around as the core information and use of a newly constructed website. With more information to be presented we opened up the page real estate and added an interactive menu book (iPaper). Keeping the same look and feel that was so successful from the first version, we worked on her information presentation within each section to best inform her new and existing clients of processes, ideas and exactly what she can do for their event or wedding. The new website really demonstrates what the next step is for KH Boutique Catering and with improved sales and larger events, has shown to be the best marketing tool for her still. We currently support traffic to her website and attract new clients through various placed print media which you can view on our additional creative page.

Goals of the project:
  • Redesign the site to include expanded IA and Design and build iPaper Menu Book.
  • Include Professional Photography
  • High-end Visual Design
  • Market to new customers doing corporate events or weddings
  • Showcase the available options for additional services and provide a more comprehensive inquiry form for the contact page.

Strategy/Solution:

Implement Premium Services Sole Proprietor Package

Result:

Clean, Professional and easy to use website that has established Kristin Hanson as a boutique caterer offering services that are unmatched in the Denver/Boulder and Front Range area.
