Case Study : Wink Optical

Problem:

Wink Optical, a hip and fun optical business, was looking to put their mark on the Boulder Colorado community with high style. Having an elegant modern store-front, it was essential that wink have an equally impressive on-line presence.  The web site needed to compliment the experience of wink and in turn generate increased image recognition. We wanted to build a positive on-line first impression for new customers who visited the site without first seeing the store.

Wink's existing customers would also be using the site at the same time to access contact info, links to articles, and general information about brands and products sold at Wink. So our solution had to contain an experience that appealed to both new and returning users.


Goals of the project:

• Overhaul the site to include IA, Design and a Development platform that can grow over the life of the site.
• Increase traffic to storefront
• Have web site to link from existing portals like City Search
• Compliment the store design success
• Provide information clearly and easily to potential and existing customers.
• Links to brands on-line that are sold at the store

• Ability to update the site’s content on a as needed basis from an integrated content management system.
