eightbysix will walk you through all the important steps to building or redesigning a successful website. We've listed out our process in detail to better educate you on what you get with our base package. New features and custom functionality can be added on at any time to create a unique user experience that meets the needs of your new site.

- Review with client the sites that they like, establish photography, brand, information display needs, and final functionality requirements. This will allow us to begin the Information Architecture (IA) phase in which we establish a sitemap and then create wireframes that will outline the site’s functionality before design’s are executed.

Information Architecture

SiteMap: We will work with the client to provide a detailed look at the content structure of your web site.
Either working from an existing SiteMap or creating one based on the discovery process and competitive
research. It is very important to analyze the amount of content available through grouping, directly working with the parent to child relationships between categories and links to subsequent related pages. We use internet best practices to establish a solid hierarchal structure that is familiar, easy to understand and navigate.

WireFrames: eightbysix will provide WireFrames that blueprint our homepage and interior content layout. This visual provides the definition of content and page layout real estate, navigation schema, unique features, marketing/messaging, modules, link conventions, and custom functionality.

The goal of our wireframing process is to define the requirements of the homepage and interior page builds. This process is like building the framework of a house before we start painting the walls and deciding on furniture. eightbysix builds the Wireframes with a creative eye so the structure can foreshadow the designers approach in the design phase.

Design

Targeted Design Strategy: To add efficiency the design process we will use the clients’ existing brand guidelines and identity standards to build color palates, make typography decisions, and identify any photography or illustration needs. Our team then explores creative options that meet your projects requirements using the Homepage WireFrame. The eightbysix team will design homepage concepts to show the client unique approaches from different perspectives. This presentation gives you a comparable contrast from which to make a solid decision on a design direction. After revising the homepage direction to a final, we then put together a corresponding interior page design based on the homepage look and feel. We will include other interior content pages to comp providing the client with a better sense of how the site is coming together visually.

Deploy

Content Integration: eightbysix will assist client with entering all content and graphics based on Sitemap.

Client Review: At the end of every project there must be client time to review and tweak final content for launch. This process is essential to keep our launch date on track, and to meet any goals for advertising or timely events already in place.

Quality Check: (optional) A designated QA will go through your site and check all links and built functionality. The QA documents and reviews their findings with the design and development team to fix any bugs or errors. This fresh pair of eyes catches the little things that are missed by team members closely working with the project and report their comments to make final adjustments before launch.
